NATHAN & ISABEL IN PHOENIX
Some friendships are just meant to be.
Isabel and I met in 2020, both fresh out of college, stepping into the classroom for the first time—completely clueless but eager to make an impact. We spent that entire first year navigating online teaching, lesson planning chaos, and figuring out what in the world we were doing. If you know, you know—first-year teaching is no joke. But we had each other, and honestly, I don't know how I would have survived without her. From the very beginning, we were inseparable—bffs instantly, working side by side every single day. I fully believe she was sent to me as a friend straight from the Lord.
Fast forward to now, and she’s married to Nathan, who is equally as fun, spontaneous, and fashionable as she is. They’re one of those couples who just fit—the kind you can’t help but love being around. We always have the best time together, so it only makes sense that the universe keeps throwing us into the same places at the same time.
Over Thanksgiving, we randomly ran into them in the middle of a bowling alley in Phoenix. PHOENIX. A city with over 1.66 MILLION PEOPLE. What are the actual odds?! If that wasn’t already wild enough, New Year's rolled around, and we somehow found ourselves in Phoenix at the same time again. This time, we turned it into a spontaneous photo session, and honestly, it might be one of my favorite shoots ever.
We started with a romantic rooftop cruise through the city as the sun dipped behind the skyline. Then, we wandered downtown, capturing their love in the in-between moments—laughing, twirling, soaking in the magic of the night. I already knew they adored each other, but seeing them through my lens? It hit differently. Their connection is effortless, deep, and full of so much joy.
It’s sessions like this that remind me why I love what I do—turning real, beautiful moments into tangible memories. This wasn’t just a photoshoot; it was an adventure with two of my favorite people, and I’ll never forget it.
Nathan & Isabel, you two are a dream. Let’s run into each other in a random city again soon, yeah?
